Summer is approaching so I’m going to turn things around with healthy and simple grilled chicken skewers to prepare it! don’t take much time, they won’t last long when your friends see them on the grill!
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- zest of 1 orange
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup green onions sliced
- pinch Black pepper
Slice the chicken into small strips and add to a medium-sized bowl.
Also to the bowl add the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sugar, rice wine, zest, orange juice, green onion, and black pepper.
Mix the chicken and the marinade ingredients together very well and let rest.
Soak 4-5 wooden skewers in cold water while the chicken marinades.
Once you’re ready to grill the chicken, thread it onto the skewers leaving about two inches at the top and bottom.
Preheat the grill to high heat.
Place the skewers on the hot grill and grill for about 4 minutes on each side. They may take longer depending on how thick you sliced the chicken.
Garnish with more green onions, sliced orange zest, and red pepper flakes.
