  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • vegetable oil

For The Nashville Hot Sauce

  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper adjust for spice level
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp honey


  1. Begin by heating about one inch of vegetable oil in a large frying pan that has a matching lid. Heat it uncovered.

  2. In a large bowl, combine whipping cream, egg whites, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

  3. Dump all of the almond flour into a zip-lock bag

  4. Take your chicken thighs, one at a time, and cover in egg/whipping cream mixture.

  5. Put into plastic or brown paper bag and shake.

  6. Put chicken thigh aside and repeat with the remainder of chicken thighs.

  7. Once the oil is hot, put the chicken into oil and cook for 3 minutes on each side (or until crispy)

  8. Put heat on medium-low and cover. Cook for 10 minutes on each side

  9. Turn the heat back up to high and cook until both sides are fully crispy

  10. Remove chicken from oil once the chicken is cooked, in the middle, to 165 degrees Fahrenheit

  11. Rest the chicken on a wire rack to allow grease to drip.

  12. While chicken is degreasing, begin melting ghee in a small saucepan on medium-low heat.

  13. Add brown sugar and stir well.

  14. Add the rest of the spices and stir well. Serve over your fried chicken and enjoy it!
