Slow Cooker three-Ingredient Creamy Salsa Verde Chicken Recipe. A quick, easy, flavorful meal!
You don’t get a great deal less complicated than this recipe. This Creamy Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Chicken is made with the simplest 3 elements — chicken breasts, salsa verde, and cream cheese.
- 2 lbs. Chicken Breast
- (1) 16-ounce jar Salsa Verde or Tomatillo Salsa (2 cups)
- (1) 8-ounce pkg. Cream Cheese (softened, may use only 4 ounces)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt and Pepper (or more to taste)
- White Onion
- Mexican Cheese
- Corn Tortillas
Place chicken, salsa verde, cream cheese, and salt and pepper in a slow cooker. Cover and set to the low setting. Cook for 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender and can shred easily with a fork.
Serve warm with tortillas for tacos, on top of a salad, or in a rice bowl.
*May add more spices such as 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, etc.
